As an Emergency Shelter Worker, you will utilize your two years of experience in dealing with homelessness, mental health, and addiction issues. Your duties will include monitoring guest activities, preparing meals, and collaborating with external agencies. You will help facilitate a positive atmosphere while managing daily operational tasks in compliance with shelter policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe workplace for all guests
• Prepare and serve meals to shelter residents
• Record daily activities and complete incident reports
• Conduct regular inspections of shelter premises
• Engage guests in supportive activities and programs
Requirements:
• Background in social services with at least two years' experience
• Crisis intervention training and mediation skills
• First Aid and CPR certification mandatory
• Proficient in computer usage for record-keeping
• Committed to working with diverse populations
