Your future starts here.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:The Sr. Manager Mechanical leads the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of mechanical operations in alignment with regulatory standards and business expectations. This role provides strong managerial leadership and supports employee development to drive performance in safety, service, productivity, and financial results. The ideal candidate fosters a proactive safety culture, communicates with clarity and consistency, and holds teams accountable to high standards.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Ensure safe shop operations by driving the safety scorecard and confirming safety framework sessions are completed at all terminalsMaintain strong emergency response readiness across the territoryProvide leadership, coaching, and support to field managers in assigned shops.Establish, communicate, and maintain appropriate staffing levels at each terminalDrive performance to meet operational targets and service expectationsImprove car repair productivity through effective capacity utilization and workflow managementAddress and resolve escalations from terminals in a timely, solutions‐focused manner.Validate adherence to decision‐making and escalation guidelines; hold managers accountable to standardsDrive train yard performance and ensure yard service employees complete required daily train repairsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or general equivalencyValid driver's licenseMinimum 5 years of working knowledge in railway operations (road, yard, car, mechanical)
