We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking kitchen helper to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The kitchen helper plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are organized and stored properly.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel kitchen operations is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
- Willingness to learn food handling techniques and assist with food preparation tasks as needed.
