Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatch Manager to oversee the coordination and management of transportation operations within our supply chain network. In this role, you will ensure the efficient scheduling, routing, and tracking of freight shipments, working closely with carriers, warehouse teams, and clients to deliver exceptional service. Your leadership will be vital in optimizing dispatch processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

- Manage daily dispatch activities, including scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers and drivers using transportation management systems (TMS)
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for shipping & receiving schedules to ensure seamless freight flow
- Utilize systems like SyteLine and AS400 for data entry, shipment tracking, and inventory updates
- Monitor freight movements to optimize routes, reduce delays, and improve overall efficiency through analysis of logistics data
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette
- Oversee shipping documentation accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards




- Conduct regular analysis of dispatch performance metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost savings

Requirements

- Proven experience managing transportation or logistics operations within a supply chain environment
- Strong proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), SyteLine, AS400, and shipping & receiving software
- Excellent data entry skills combined with sharp analysis capabilities to interpret logistics data effectively
- Exceptional communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette for liaising with carriers and internal teams
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining high levels of organization
- Knowledge of freight regulations, shipping procedures, and supply chain best practices
- Strong typing skills for accurate data entry and record keeping
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL) is a plus
