We are an established trucking company located in Comber, Ontario looking for someone dependable, organized, motivated and energetic to join our team.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule freight pickups and deliveries using transportation management software TruckMate
- Communicate effectively with drivers, shippers, staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Enter and update shipment data accurately into relevant systems, ensuring real-time tracking and documentation of freight movements.
- Monitor shipping & receiving operations to ensure timely dispatches and arrivals, resolving any issues promptly through analysis skills.
- Completion of oversized/overweight permits.
- Manage shipping documentation, including manifests, customs documents, bills of lading, and delivery confirmations with attention to detail.
- Maintain organized records of all dispatch activities, including inbound/outbound.
Experience
- Experience working with transportation management systems TMS is an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally and courteously.
- Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy; typing speed is a plus.
- Analytical mindset capable of assessing freight data to optimize dispatch processes.
- AP and AR experience is an asset.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities effectively.
