About the Role
Hiredbuddy is looking for a motivated .NET Application Developer to join our engineering team. In this entry-level, remote role, you will help design, develop, and maintain a suite of enterprise applications and services used by clients across industries. You will work primarily with C#, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server, using modern practices such as RESTful API design, dependency injection, and unit testing.

Responsibilities
- Craft scalable, maintainable, and secure code as you tackle a variety of tactical and technical tasks.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Write and review code, fix defects, and work with the technical team to release regular updates.
- Create and work with RESTful and SOAP APIs to integrate client systems with third-party services, ensuring data flow is reliable and secure.
- Participate in code reviews, automated and manual testing, and ensure that applications run without interruption in a cloud environment.
- Engage in regular one-on-one mentorship and collaborate with senior engineers reviewing architecture and patterns.
- Work alongside product managers and QA to ensure high-quality deliverables and find opportunities to improve existing processes.
- Own small features end-to-end, from the first ticket to the deployment to production.
- Estimate scope, propose solutions,
and take on more complex stories as you gain confidence.
- Create and maintain a smooth CI/CD pipeline through GitHub and release automation tooling.
- Maintain tables, queries, stored procedures, and indexes to support high-traffic applications; perform performance analysis and optimize where needed.
- Ensure that all code is secure by following security during the development stage and receives verification before release.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in .NET development (possibly internship, personal projects or academic).
- Familiarity with C#, ASP.NET Core, or Web API.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC.
- Knowledge of tools like Visual Studio or JetBrains Rider.
- Familiarity with Git, continuous integration, or Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Strong communication and remote-work skills: ability to work in a distributed setup.
- Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and improve.
- US work-eligible: no visa sponsorship for this role.
