DUTIES:

This role is essential for ensuring the quality and care of the items being cleaned, and the ability to operate machinery and perform stain removal techniques is crucial for success in this position.

· Operate washing and dry-cleaning machines to maintain the quality of various articles, including garments, suede, leather, furs, linens, and carpets.

· Ensure high quality cleaning, drying and maintaining or restoration of garments colour and quality using Organic Cleaning methods.

· Inspect garments and textiles for stains, damage, and care instructions before processing.

· Apply cleaning methods and solutions for different fabric types, including solvent-based dry cleaning and wet washing as needed

· Perform stain removal and spot cleaning techniques to restore fabric quality.

· Monitor drying processes to prevent damage and ensure proper finishing of articles.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.

· Customer service:



Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns regarding cleaning processes.

· Safety protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and best practices for handling chemicals and machinery.

· Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Experience in setup, programming, operating and maintenance of the following machinery is an asset:

- Union Dry Cleaning Machine
- Maytag Commercial Washing Machine
- Commercial Drying Machine
- Must have at least 5 years experience working in a dry cleaning plant
- Solid knowledge of laundry processes, stain removal techniques, and fabric care
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and handling heavy or bulky items throughout shift
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Advanced understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
