We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Dump Truck Operator to join our team and drive our heavy-duty trucks with precision and safety. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting materials efficiently across construction sites, mining operations, or industrial facilities. Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or other bulk commodities across designated sites.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in optimal working condition, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires.
- Load and unload materials accurately while adhering to weight limits and safety standards.
- Follow all traffic laws and site-specific safety procedures during operation and transit.
- Maintain detailed logs of trips, loads transported, and any incidents or mechanical issues encountered during shifts.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups efficiently.
- Perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on heavy equipment when necessary, including minor repairs or reporting major issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks.
- Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy machinery in industrial or construction environments.
- Knowledge of forklift operation is a plus for handling related materials or equipment on-site.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues on trucks.
- Strong focus on safety protocols, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including loading/unloading materials and inspecting equipment regularly.
