Position Summary:

A Delivery Driver is committed to achieving Doidge Building Centres Ltd.’s Service sales and service goals while providing the customers with the best shopping experience possible.

Location: This position is located at the RONA store in Welland, Ontario

Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:

- Builds loads/orders as required for customer pick up or delivery in an accurate manner
- Provides accurate and timely deliveries in a proactive manner and follows up with paperwork processing
- Ensures proper and safe handling and storage of inventory products to minimize any damage
- Maintains equipment to ensure secure operation and appearance
- Ensures that all circle checks, safety checks and MTO regulations are completed.
- Helps maintain appearance of yard and warehouse
- Ensures that the Yard/Branch Manager is aware of any changes to their driving record
- Performs other job-related duties as required

Qualifications:

- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Physically demanding. Use of ladders, climbing and lifting techniques when required. Medium and heavy lifting is a major component of this position
- Knowledge of the building construction industry; trends, products, application techniques and projects is an asset
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Boom licence is an asset, but not a requirement to obtain this position
- Must possess a valid Ontario class DZ (or higher)
