Join Extendicare as a part time Registered Nurse, focusing on comprehensive care for seniors. This role combines direct resident care with medication administration and ongoing documentation.
In this position, you'll report directly to the Director of Health and Wellness, ensuring that care assessments and service plans are current. You'll supervise unregulated care providers and facilitate education for residents and families, playing a critical role in the care delivery process. Your background in gerontology will enhance the quality of care provided.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee care assessments and service plan updates • Administer and manage medications safely • Coordinate nursing assignments for efficient service delivery • Act as supervisor during emergencies and health concerns • Educate residents and families on health topics
Requirements: • Registered Nurse license in applicable Province/State • Experience in gerontology or long-term care • Strong critical thinking and communication skills • Proven ability to enhance patient care • Ability to pass current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
