Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Program Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires effective communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and community members.

Location: Satellites of West Ferris Day Nursery

Hours of Operation: Shift Between 7:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, Potential for split shift

Wage: Competitive wage, plus WEG + Vacation Pay

Qualifications:

- Current VSC
- Current Standard First Aid & Infant/Child CPR - WSIB Approved
- Valid Ontario driver's license and daily access to a reliable vehicle
- Respect of confidentiality
- Working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act
- Working knowledge of How Does Learning Happen document
- Experience working in a child care setting is considered an asset

Duties (but not limited to):

- Demonstrate continuous ethical and professional behaviour
- Demonstrate continuous Professional Learning
- Demonstrate regular attendance




- Implement HDLH and support planning
- Implement Ministry guidelines under the CCEY act
- Maintain profiles and protocols for children in group
- Demonstrate flexibility, dependability and ability to work as a team member
- Ensure policies and procedures of the West Ferris Day Nursery are adhered to
- Promote health, safety and well-being of all children
- Support positive and responsive relationships with families and children
