Early Childhood Educator II (ECE II)
One-Year Term Position | Anola, Manitoba
Springfield Learning Centres Incorporated (SLC) is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Early Childhood Educator II to join our team for a one-year term position.
SLC is a community-based, non-profit Early Learning and Child Care organization located in Anola, Manitoba. We provide care for Infant, Preschool, and School-Age children. We are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments where children can learn, explore, build relationships, and, most importantly, enjoy being children.
The Position
We are seeking an ECE II who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a supportive and collaborative team.
The successful candidate will help plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based and child-centered programming that responds to children's individual interests, abilities and needs.
Responsibilities Include
- Providing warm, responsive and attentive care and supervision.
- Creating a protected, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and experiences.
- Encouraging children's independence, creativity, problem-solving and social development.
- Using positive, respectful approaches to guidance and behaviour.
- Supporting inclusive programming for children with diverse abilities and needs.
- Observing children's interests, development and emerging skills and using these observations to guide programming.
- Building positive and respectful relationships with children, families and fellow Staff.
- Participating in indoor and outdoor activities and community experiences.
- Following SLC policies, procedures and Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care licensing requirements.
- Contributing positively to the day-to-day operation of the Centre.
Qualifications
Applicants must
- Hold a current ECE II classification through Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care.
- Hold current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to the age groups in care.
- Have a strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Demonstrate an understanding of play-based, child-centered learning.
- Be dependable, professional and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
- Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Be comfortable working with children in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Previous experience working in a licensed Early Learning and Child Care setting is preferred.

Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
