Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Infant Toddler Early Childhood Educator (ITE)
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
Salary: $28 (ECE) $29-$30 (ECE-IT) (includes provincial wage enhancement)
Vacation: 4 weeks paid vacation annually.

: We are a team of educators that are really fun to work with. We are a licensed Infant Toddler centre and we have created a work culture that we are proud of. We operate each day over ratio to make sure we are providing real quality programming.
Our operating hours are 8:30 - 4:00 so there's never a day of overtime (which we know leads to burn out, yuck!). We check in with each other often and have fun social events from time to time outside of work. We provide 4 weeks paid vacation to our staff each year.
We're looking for another lovely teacher to join our team!
What we are looking for: Someone with solid organization skills who has a great sense of humour, positive and fun attitude, and works well in a team. We are a supportive centre and value healthy work/life balance. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a strong team. Maturity and reliability are key!

- CPR and First Aid Certification;

- ECE Certifications; and

Job Duties:
- Helping to create a welcoming and inclusive centre for families and their children;
- Able to communicate calmly and patiently with children, parents and staff;
- Ability to plan and implement innovative programming based upon the age and emergent needs of children, setting up suitable play-based environments for young children daily;
- Ability to exercise good judgment, critical thinking, and creative problem solving;
- Strong interest integrating the BC Early Learning Framework in a child care program;
- Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively within a team environment;
- Reliable and mature;
- Demonstrated evidence of ongoing professional commitment and development, and an attitude that supports ongoing learning and self-reflection skills;
- Commitment to the ECEBC Code of Ethics, including confidentiality and privacy of information;
- Ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds, understanding and valuing diversity;
- Ability to handle emergencies skillfully and calmly and in compliance with Child Care Regulations and Nurture’s policies.
Specialized Knowledge/Education:
- Strong knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and ability to implement into practice;
- Understanding of Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care FrameWork;
- Strong knowledge of current BC Child Care Licensing Regulations;
- Documentation of compliance in the immunization program per Ministry of Health guidelines (childhood immunizations).
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $29.00-$30.00 per hour
