We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children aged 10 months - 10 years.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for children
- Assist in providing age-appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, physical, and social development
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Collaborate with other ECE's to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day
- Assist babies and toddler with toileting needs including diapering
- Light daily cleaning duties shared amongst colleagues
Skills:
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is an asset, but not required.
- English proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Childcare knowledge: Understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education is an asset, but training is provided.
- Passion for inspiring young minds and spend time with young children
- Organizational skills: Ability to maintain an organized classroom environment is an asset, but will come with training and time in the environment.
Requirements:
- Clean criminal record check must be provided within three weeks of hire date
- First aid must be valid or completed within three weeks of hire date
- Early Childhood Education Level 1, 2 or 3 is an asset. Level 1 can be obtained free online within four months of hire date.
- Availability to work between the hours of 6:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday.
