The role involves approximately 60% regulatory service and 40% applied research, emphasizing collaboration with the Illinois Department of Transportation. Candidates must have strong field and GIS skills to address ecological challenges in northern Illinois effectively. Key Responsibilities:

- Review studies for Best Management Practices in ecology
- Write reports for IDOT's permitting processes




- Design ecological impact survey strategies
- Conduct field assessments on significant natural resources
