Educational Assistant

Location: Central Middle School

30 hours weekly

August 24, 2026 to June 30, 2027

Temporary position replacing a leave of absence.

The successful applicant will provide support to students in middle school.

Desirable Qualifications And Attributes

- Educational Assistant Certificate or related training is an asset
- Training or experience in behaviour management (e.g., non-violent crisis intervention, SIVA) preferred
- Experience supporting students with complex behavioural needs in a school setting
- Calm, patient, and able to respond effectively in high-needs or escalated situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptable, reliable, and able to support a variety of classroom and school-based activities
- Comfortable supporting personal care needs including lifting and toileting as required
