Black Professionals Canada (BPC) is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to supporting and equipping Black professionals across Canada to excel in their careers. BPC partners with employers to strengthen Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and build more inclusive workplaces. The organization focuses on creating pathways for Black professionals to advance into senior leadership roles and board positions.

Through programs, events, and strategic partnerships, BPC works to expand skilled networks, access to opportunities, and career development resources.

Role Description The Reintegration Leadership Academy Employer Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator is a contract position based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with employer partners, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support Black individuals involved in the criminal justice system.

The successful candidate will work closely with small business owners, stakeholders and justice sector partners to facilitate access to services, resources, and community reintegration support.

Day-to-day tasks include

1. Coordinating employer outreach, organizing engagement activities, supporting partnership agreements, and maintaining accurate records of partnership activities.
2. Collaborating with internal teams to align employer engagement strategies with programming, events, and talent initiatives, while providing timely communication and support to partners.
3.



Providing direct support and advocacy services to Black community members.
4. Building and maintaining productive relationships with government agencies, community organizations, and service providers.
5. The role also involves gathering feedback, monitoring partnership performance, and contributing to reports and recommendations that enhance employer engagement and impact.
6. Frequent travel within the region as required to meet with new and existing partners.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of experience working in community services, social services,, rehabilitation, reintegration programs, or a related field.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and understanding of the unique challenges facing Black individuals and families.
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to build and maintain positive relationships with employer partners and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including written and verbal communication, to prepare presentations, reports, and partner-facing materials.
- Candidates should possess Employee Engagement and Employee Relations skills to support inclusive initiatives, employer programs, and collaborative activities that foster belonging.




- Candidates should have experience or knowledge in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, particularly related to advancing Black professionals in the workplace.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Previous experience in employer relations, partnerships, community engagement, HR, or related fields is an asset.
- A post-secondary education in Community Development, Business, Communications, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is beneficial.

- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Ability and willingness to travel on short notice
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Successful copletion of any required background checks
