Join Community Development Council Durham as a Registered Early Childhood Educator, focusing on providing essential support to children and families in a welcoming environment. This role requires passion for child development and community engagement.
You will be responsible for managing the Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) Centre, reporting to the Manager. Your mission includes planning activities that address diverse needs while ensuring a secure and nurturing space for children aged 19 months to 6 years. Communicating effectively with parents and completing administrative tasks will also be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish rapport with children and families • Ensure confidentiality and safeguard records • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture • Document children's progress and development • Actively participate in marketing the CNC program
Requirements: • Early Childhood Educator Diploma required • Active membership with CECE • 2+ years of experience working with young children • Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act • Current first aid and CPR certification required
