English Language Learning Instructor in Picture Butte, AB.

Lethbridge County Adult Learning is currently seeking an instructor to facilitate an English Language Learning class in Picture Butte, AB.

Tuesday evenings: 6:30 - 8:30 pm

October 13 - December 1, 2026 and January 26 - April 27, 2027

no class February 16 & March. 30

This is a contract position with 40 instructional hours.

Prep & evaluation hours to be discussed.

Starting wage is $28-$30 hour depending on experience

You will be expected to work with adult learners to improve their English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. This will be a multi level classroom. You will need to encourage adult participants to continue their learning by accessing other non-formal learning opportunities in the area.

You should be connected with other service organizations in the surrounding communities in order to make knowledgeable referrals to other local providers to support adults to transition to further learning or employment.

To achieve this, you will be supported by the staff of Lethbridge County Adult Learning.



Your work will enable adult learners to acquire the skills and develop strategies to improve their lives through education.

You will be a self-starter who displays empathy to newcomers to Canada and English as an Alternative Language Learner. You will enjoy working with adults who face many language and social-economic barriers. You will have demonstrated solid skills in time management and excellent oral and written communication skills.

You must have your own vehicle and a valid driver’s license. You also must provide a valid police record check including a vulnerable sector check. Preference will be given to applicants with a teaching degree, but a teaching degree is not required.
