Become the Terrestrial Biologist at ʔAkisq̓nuk First Nation, where ecology meets Indigenous knowledge. This full time position is a blend of outdoor fieldwork and technical data management. In your role supporting the Lands and Environment Manager, you will help shape innovative conservation strategies through the integration of Indigenous insights.
With responsibilities spanning ecological surveys to engaging with various stakeholders, your work will significantly impact the community’s wildlife stewardship and land conservation efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct wildlife and ecological surveys in the field
- Design and implement monitoring programs
- Perform statistical analyses on habitat data
- Support grant proposals and strategic planning
- Prepare technical documentation and engage in consultations Requirements:
- Degree in Biology or a related discipline
- Registered Professional Biologist (RP Bio) or eligible
- At least 2 years of practical field experience
- Strong analytical skills in data collection
