We are seeking a vigilant and professional Event Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property during various events. This role involves monitoring event premises, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to any incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide security and crowd control during events
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Conduct access control and ticket/credential checks when required
- Assist with directing guests and maintaining organized lineups
- Identify and report safety or security concerns
- Respond professionally to incidents and emergencies
- Follow site-specific instructions and supervisor directions
- Maintain a professional and customer-service-focused attitude
Requirements
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Robust communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working in busy and crowded environments
- Must be available for evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts
