We are looking for a highly experienced Automotive Painter & Prep Technician to join our auto body and collision repair shop.

We are seeking one skilled professional who can handle the complete refinishing process, from properly preparing the vehicle and panels to completing high-quality skilled paintwork.

Responsibilities

- Properly prepare vehicles and panels for painting
- Sand, mask, prime, and perform all necessary surface preparation
- Identify and correct imperfections before painting
- Mix and match automotive paint accurately
- Perform professional colour matching and blending
- Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and other refinishing products
- Paint panels and complete vehicles as required
- Polish and correct minor paint imperfections when necessary
- Inspect finished work to ensure excellent quality
- Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and work area

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of professional automotive painting and prep experience preferred




- Must be highly experienced in both vehicle preparation and automotive painting
- Strong colour-matching and blending skills
- Excellent knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and refinishing procedures
- Ability to complete the full prep-to-paint process independently
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
- Experience working in a professional auto body/collision repair environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently
- Valid driver’s licence preferred

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Experience: Automotive painting and preparation: Preferred Mechanic experience is a plus but not required

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
