GSNS Expedite Logistics – Oshawa, Ontario

- Regular schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 45 hours per week
- Weekend work: As required, paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate regardless of total weekly hours worked

Position Summary GSNS Expedite Logistics is seeking an experienced, safety-focused AZ Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our transportation team.

The successful candidate will have at least five years of verifiable commercial tractor-trailer driving experience, a demonstrated history of safe and reliable performance, and sufficient previous commercial driving history to meet our fleet insurer’s requirements.

This position includes the opportunity to complete Orange Badge training for assignments at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment on assigned routes.
- Pick up and deliver freight safely, professionally, and on schedule.
- Complete required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Identify and report vehicle defects, damage, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
- Comply with applicable hours-of-service requirements and maintain accurate electronic logs.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded, distributed, secured, and protected.
- Complete bills of lading, delivery documents, inspection reports, and other trip records accurately.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, shippers, and receivers.
- Follow GSNS safety policies, customer-site requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and professional condition of assigned equipment.
- Report collisions, violations, delays, cargo concerns, and service issues immediately.




- Follow all applicable security, safety, and access procedures when attending Darlington Nuclear Generating Station or other controlled customer sites.

Required Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted Ontario AZ driver’s licence with air-brake endorsement, or a recognized Canadian equivalent that meets Ontario requirements.
- Minimum five years of recent, verifiable commercial tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Satisfactory commercial driving and safety record.
- Ability to provide a current driver’s abstract.
- Ability to provide a five-year Ontario CVOR Driver Abstract or equivalent commercial-driver records from other applicable jurisdictions.
- Ability to provide employment references and documentation verifying previous commercial driving experience.
- Ability to meet GSNS Expedite Logistics’ fleet insurance requirements.
- Working knowledge of commercial vehicle inspections, cargo securement, hours of service, and electronic logging devices.
- Ability to read and complete transportation, delivery, and safety documentation accurately.
- Strong communication, reliability, time-management, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond professionally to changing road, weather, dispatch, and delivery conditions.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with accommodation where required by law.





Orange Badge Training Prospect The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete site-specific Orange Badge training for assignments at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station. The candidate must be willing and able to complete all required site orientation, radiation-protection training, security screening, and access requirements. Nuclear-site access and Orange Badge qualification remain subject to approval by the applicable facility operator.

Compensation and Benefits

- Base wage of $27.83 per hour.
- Full-time, permanent employment.
- Regular Monday-to-Friday schedule of approximately 45 hours per week.
- Weekend work, when required, is paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate, regardless of whether the employee has worked 45 hours during that week.

- Benefit premiums are shared equally: 50% paid by GSNS Expedite Logistics and 50% paid by the employee.
