Experienced Caregiver Needed – In-Home Family Support
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and reliable caregiver to provide in-home care for an elderly woman with dementia in the Trout Lake area of East Vancouver, approximately a 10-minute walk from Commercial–Broadway SkyTrain Station.
The caregiver will also provide some support to her adult daughter, who has a developmental disability. She attends a day program, so this would mainly involve helping with her morning or evening routine, depending on the shift.
We are hoping to find someone who can provide consistent, long-term care and become a trusted part of the family's care team.
Responsibilities may include
Assisting with daily activities and personal care, including dressing, bathing and toileting
Preparing meals
Providing companionship and supervision
Supporting a safe, calm and comfortable home environment
Helping our aunt with her morning or evening routine
Light caregiving-related household tasks
Requirements
Previous experience caring for seniors/vulnerable people,
preferably someone with dementia
Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is an asset
Patient, kind, dependable and trustworthy
Positive communication skills
Able to speak Hindi or Punjabi
References and/or relevant caregiving experience preferred
Schedule
We are seeking coverage Sunday through Friday, with Saturdays off.
Available shifts include
Morning: 7:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Afternoon/evening: 1:30 p.m.–7:00/8:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Applicants do not necessarily need to be available for every shift. Please let us know which days and times you are available.
Pay: $25/hour
