Responsibilities
- Safely handle and bathe pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being during the grooming process
- Assist groomers by preparing pets for grooming appointments, including drying, brushing, and trimming as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owners’ questions and ensuring a positive experience
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as lifting large or heavy pets safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent injury to pets or staff during bathing and handling procedures
- Support the team with other grooming-related duties to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in pet bathing or grooming assistance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and comfortably, including lifting large pets or equipment
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods throughout the day
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their safety and comfort
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends or peak hours as needed
