Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Residential Renovation Worker to join our team at Kaslo River Construction Company.

We specialize in residential renovations in Red Deer and surrounding areas and are looking for someone who already has hands-on construction experience and is comfortable working in a variety of areas.

This is not an entry-level general labourer position. Previous residential construction or renovation experience is required.

The right person will be dependable, hardworking, able to work well as part of a team, and take pride in producing quality work. Because every renovation is different, we're looking for someone who is versatile, willing to jump into different tasks, and comfortable working in occupied homes and active renovation sites.

Responsibilities

- Assist with and complete a variety of residential renovation projects
- Framing and general carpentry
- Demolition and site preparation
- Drywall installation, mudding and finishing
- Flooring and trim installation
- Cabinet and fixture installation
- Tile work
- Interior finishing and repairs
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Read measurements and construction plans as required
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area




- Work efficiently both independently and alongside other team members
- Treat clients' homes and properties with care and respect

Requirements
- Previous residential construction or renovation experience is required
- Strong working knowledge of common construction tools and techniques
- Experience in multiple areas of residential renovations
- Ability to accurately measure, cut and complete construction tasks
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Able to perform the physical requirements of residential construction work
- Must have a valid driver's licence
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Must be comfortable travelling to job sites throughout Red Deer and surrounding communities
- Solid commitment to job-site safety and quality workmanship
- Must be willing and able to successfully complete a criminal record check as a condition of employment

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys renovation work, takes pride in their craftsmanship and wants to be part of a growing local construction company. Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
