Experienced Tuna Loiner - Frozen Tuna Processing

This role requires a minimum of 1 year of direct tuna loining experience.

Applicants without hands-on experience breaking down whole frozen tuna using industrial bandsaws and will not be considered.

This is a highly skilled seafood processing role requiring precision, consistency, and an understanding of yield and product quality.

General fish cutting, meat cutting, kitchen prep, or seafood counter experience alone is NOT sufficient for this position.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tuna Loiner to join a well-established seafood processing operation in Vancouver.

This is a hands-on production role focused on breaking down whole frozen tuna into loins and portions while maintaining high quality and yield standards.

The ideal candidate already understands the pace, technical skill, and precision required within high-volume tuna processing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Break down whole frozen tuna using industrial bandsaws
- Perform clean, precise loining cuts while maintaining maximum yield
- Trim and portion tuna to specification
- Maintain consistency in cuts and product presentation
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Support overall production flow as required

Mandatory Experience Requirements





Candidates MUST have

- Minimum 1 year of direct tuna loining experience
- Experience breaking down whole frozen tuna
- Industrial bandsaw operating experience
- Experience within commercial seafood processing environments
- Understanding of yield, product handling, and quality standards
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in fast-paced production environments

Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Consistent full time hours
