As a Boring Mill Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring boring mill equipment while maintaining exceptional standards for quality, accuracy, and efficiency. As a Boring Mill Machinist, you'll play a critical role in producing precision tooling components by setting up and operating horizontal boring mills.

You'll ensure every part meets exact specifications while contributing to a protected, efficient, and quality-driven manufacturing environment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD designs, specifications,



and work instructions Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to optimize performance, accuracy, and efficiency Perform boring, milling, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations as required Follow customer specifications, quality standards, and lean manufacturing practices High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3-5 years as a Boring Mill Machinist or in a similar precision machining role Experience setting up and operating horizontal boring mills or similar large-scale CNC machining equipment Experience with CNC controls, including Fanuc and Heidenhain, is considered an asset Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, machine setups, and inspection techniques Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other inspection equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels,
