We’re looking for a Facility Worker 1 to join our Facilities team. If you’re a hands-on person who enjoys variety, takes pride in a job well done, and can look at a problem and figure out how to fix it, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

As a Facility Worker, you’ll play an important role in keeping Century Downs’s building, grounds, and equipment in top condition. Your days will be diverse, practical, and hands-on.

You will

- Perform day-to-day building and property maintenance, including installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and general upkeep.
- Keep the property clean, safe, and looking its best through tasks such as rubbish removal, snow removal, street sweeping, lawn care, rug care, power washing, and equipment cleaning.
- Perform wall, glass, and other general cleaning duties as needed.
- Identify maintenance issues and use your problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to find practical solutions.
- Work independently with limited supervision while managing your time and priorities effectively.
- Follow safe work practices and take action when you identify potential safety concerns.
- Work closely with other departments and team members to help create a positive experience for our guests and employees.




- Take on other duties and projects as needed—because no two days in Facilities are exactly the same!

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical, and ready to roll up their sleeves.

You’ll need

- At least one year of recent, related maintenance or labour experience.
- A High School Diploma; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- The ability to perform physical and manual tasks, including heavy lifting and work requiring dexterity.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Effective and diplomatic verbal and written communication skills in English.
- The ability to work safely, follow procedures, and address safety concerns.
- The ability to work independently while also being a positive and dependable team member.
- The ability to successfully pass a criminal record check.
