Here’s what you will do as a Family Intervention Counsellor:

- Provide counselling and support services to individuals, couples, children, youth, and families
- Develop collaborative service plans that address the unique needs and goals of clients
- Support families experiencing challenges including:

❖Couples and marital relationship difficulties ❖Blended family adjustments

❖Child, youth, and parent conflict

❖High-risk child and adolescent behaviours

❖Family crises

❖Grief and loss

❖Co-parenting challenges

❖Parenting concerns and support needs

❖Significant life transitions and changes

- Facilitate individual, family, and group sessions as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, case notes, and reports
- Collaborate with community partners, schools, healthcare providers, and other service agencies to support positive outcomes for families
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development

We're looking for an ideal candidate who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:

- Relevant post-secondary education in a human services field, such as counselling, social work, psychology, or a related area, combined with applicable work experience




- Relevant professional experience and demonstrated knowledge in the human services sector are essential
- Experience providing counselling and support in areas such as grief and loss, parent-child conflict, child and adolescent behavioural concerns, couples counselling, crisis intervention, and group facilitation
- Strong understanding of counselling theories and approaches, with a commitment to client-centered, strengths-based practice
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications and technology required to perform the duties of the position
- A team-oriented team player with a positive, professional attitude
- Dependable, adaptable, and able to respond effectively to the changing demands of the role
- Sound judgment and strong decision-making abilities
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
