Job Overview
Aventyr Security Corp. is seeking a reliable and technically skilled Field Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain CCTV and security camera systems at commercial properties and construction sites.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable working independently in the field, communicates professionally with customers and site personnel, and is confident using technology to manage service tickets and document completed work.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and repair CCTV and security camera systems at commercial and construction sites.
- Run, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot cabling associated with CCTV equipment.
- Mount and configure cameras, NVR/DVR equipment, network devices, and related security hardware.
- Diagnose technical issues and perform repairs or equipment replacements as required.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and system inspections.
- Test completed installations to ensure systems are operating correctly.
- Attend assigned service calls and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Use the company's CRM and ticketing system to receive assignments, update service tickets, document work performed, upload site photos, and maintain accurate service records.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, contractors, construction personnel, site supervisors, and internal team members.
- Follow company policies and all applicable workplace and construction-site safety requirements.
- Maintain company-provided tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Participate in company-provided technical, product, and safety training.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between job sites.
- Own reliable vehicle for transportation to commercial and construction sites.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good customer-service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable using computers, smartphones, mobile applications, CRM platforms, and ticketing/work-order systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned service calls effectively.
- Ability to work safely and professionally on active commercial and construction sites.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and responsible.
- Ability to perform physical field work, including carrying equipment, using ladders, pulling cable,
and working in different site conditions.
- Willingness to learn current security technologies and systems.
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience or knowledge in the following areas is considered an asset:
- CCTV/IP camera installation and troubleshooting
- Low-voltage systems
- Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and termination
- Basic networking and IP configuration
- NVR/DVR systems
- Commercial security systems
- Construction-site environments
- Field service or technical support
- CRM and service-ticketing software

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
