Our client, a healthcare organization, is seeking a strategic and hands‑on finance professional to help shape the future of its finance function. This is a unique opportunity to lead the transition from an outsourced accounting model to a fully in‑house operation while building processes, systems, and reporting that support long‑term organizational growth.
Working closely with the COO and executive leadership team, you'll play a key role in financial planning, operational decision‑making, and expansion initiatives. Your Responsibilities
- You'll lead the transition of accounting operations from an outsourced provider to a fully in‑house finance function, ensuring a smooth implementation of processes and controls.
- You'll oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis while ensuring compliance with ASPE/GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- In this role, you'll manage the implementation of a new accounting system, including data migration, testing, training, and ongoing optimization.
- You'll develop KPI dashboards, executive reporting, and financial models that support strategic planning and informed business decisions.
- You'll strengthen internal controls, identify opportunities for process improvements, and support operational efficiencies across the organization.
- You'll partner with the COO on expansion initiatives, including financial modelling, market research, capital planning, and investment analysis for new clinic locations.
Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally within healthcare or another regulated environment.
- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Demonstrated experience leading finance transformation initiatives, including accounting system implementations or bringing finance functions in‑house.
- Robust knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls under ASPE/GAAP.
- Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and business partnering skills with the ability to influence executive decision‑making.
- Bilingual in English and French would be considered an asset.
