We are seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join our growing team. This is an opportunity for a planning-focused professional who is passionate about helping clients achieve their long-term financial goals through comprehensive and ongoing financial planning. Working closely with advisors, portfolio managers and support staff, the successful candidate will help develop, implement and continually enhance our financial planning process.

Using

Planworth and other planning tools, they will prepare retirement, tax, estate and cash flow plans, present recommendations to clients, and help establish a structured review process to ensure plans remain relevant as clients' lives and goals change.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead and Develop the Planning Process

- Lead and continue to enhance our financial planning process, including how plans are built, presented, documented and maintained
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Planworth, developing templates, standards and workflows that make the process consistent and scalable
- Establish and run an ongoing plan review cycle so that client plans are revisited on a regular schedule and updated as circumstances, legislation and goals change
- Continually refine the client-facing planning experience,



from discovery and data gathering through to presentation and follow-up

Prepare and Present Comprehensive Plans

- Build retirement projections, cash flow models, scenario analyses and stress tests for a high-net-worth client base
- Develop tax planning strategies across the accumulation and decumulation phases, including RRSP and RRIF conversion timing, withdrawal sequencing, OAS clawback management, pension income splitting, and CPP and OAS start-date analysis
- Identify estate planning and wealth transition opportunities, including beneficiary designations, probate considerations, trust and holding company structures, and insurance-funded estate liquidity
- Support family continuity planning, including intergenerational wealth transfer, family meetings, and next-generation engagement
- Present plans and recommendations to clients in clear, practical language, and translate planning output into a prioritized action list

Collaborate with the Team

- Work alongside team members to ensure planning insight informs portfolio and client strategy
- Coordinate with clients' external accountants, tax lawyers and estate lawyers where specialist input is required
- Identify planning needs and opportunities within existing client relationships and bring them forward to the team

Qualifications:

Required

- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in retirement, tax, estate, cash flow and wealth planning
- CFP or PFP designation
- Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting comprehensive financial plans, ideally for high-net-worth families
- Proficiency with Planworth, or with comparable planning software and the ability to become proficient in Planworth quickly
- Solid working knowledge of Canadian personal and estate tax as it applies to planning, including marginal rate analysis,



capital gains treatment, the dividend tax credit, attribution rules, the principal residence exemption, and registered plan taxation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex planning concepts clearly to clients

- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple plans and deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and work independently while contributing to a cooperative team
- A genuine passion for financial planning and an interest in building a long-term career with our team

Considered an Asset

- CPA designation
- CIRO registration and completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and Wealth Management Essentials (WME).

- Life insurance licensing or experience with insurance-based estate and tax strategies
- Additional designations such as CIM, CLU or TEP
- Experience with business-owner and incorporated professional clients, including corporate structures, salary versus dividend planning, the capital dividend account, and the lifetime capital gains exemption

- Experience facilitating family meetings or governance discussions

Education:

- An undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field
