JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Services Specialist, with assistance from the Financial Services Administrator, would open new memberships, follow-up on both lending and deposit leads identified during the account opening process, and during account reviews. This position is responsible for seeking out new lending and deposit opportunities for the Credit Union and assisting existing members with their enquiries. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of Credit Union products and services and a proven track record of achieving sales targets and branch goals.

The candidate must be comfortable cross-selling appropriate products and services to our members and to advocate to non-members through industry events and in the community. Sales or marketing experience would be an asset with this position. Knowledge of security registry procedures (Loan PPSA, Mortgages etc.) and a willingness to take continuing education courses as needed would also be expected.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide efficient and courteous delivery of Credit Union products, services, and advice.
- Receive and process loan applications from Members in accordance with authority granted by the CEO, and under the supervision of the Branch Manager.
- Responsible for the administration and timely completion of clerical duties involved in the maintenance of the credit portfolio, deposit accounts and investments renewals.
- Assist in the development of sales and service goals and objectives for the branch in consultation with the Branch Manager.
- Provide input, support, and assist in the development and implementation of branch campaigns including, but not limited to, sales targets, marketing and branch budgets.




- Work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure that all products and services are marketed and promoted in accordance with the overall business objectives including Member satisfaction and portfolio growth.
- Establish and maintain a current level of knowledge of competitor products and services; provide recommendations to the Branch Manager to ensure branches remain competitive in all areas; support implementation of new products and services for Southwest Regional Credit Union.
- Ensure that branches operate within established and accepted risk management guidelines, Anti-Money Laundering, Privacy and any other applicable legislation in coordination with Southwest Regional Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Monitor, report and collect delinquent loan accounts.
- Maintain a working level of knowledge of Southwest Regional Credit Union branch-related policies, procedures, established practices, and documentation in order to act as a resource to Members and to support the Branch Manager.
- Responds to member inquiries received by phone, in branch or referred by other staff.
- Participate in the promotion of the Credit Union through industry and community events and by initiating contact with Members on behalf of Southwest Regional.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Branch Manager
- Follow protected work practices as prescribed by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $47,400.00-$56,400.00 per year

Education:
- Secondary School (required)

Experience:
