Labs seeks a Firmware Engineer Intern to contribute to the design of SoC systems and microcontroller subsystems. Successful candidates are pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, ideally with co-op experience in embedded software development. You'll work closely with hardware teams to implement key features and gain hands-on experience in the field. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop firmware for Astera Labs’ products
- Collaborate with teams on customer-facing firmware solutions
- Engage in debugging firmware and hardware issues
- Utilize developer workflows, including code reviews
- Test firmware using JTAG and lab tools Requirements:
- Strong academic background in relevant engineering disciplines
- Experience with C/C++ and Python scripting
- Authorized to work in Canada for 4 months or more
- Completed courses in Real Time Operating Systems
