Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable individual for our Flagger/Labourer position to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for directing traffic safely around construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the public. You will also assist with various labour tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and supporting heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities

- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around active construction zones using standardized hand signals or flagging devices
- Ensure the safety of workers, visitors, and the general public by monitoring site access points and controlling movement
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment as needed to support construction activities
- Support heavy equipment operators by providing guidance and ensuring safe operation during paving or other site activities
- Maintain clear communication with team members to coordinate daily tasks and respond promptly to any safety concerns
- Keep work areas tidy by removing debris, organizing materials,



and assisting in site cleanup efforts
- Follow all safety protocols, signage, and regulations to uphold a secure working environment

Requirements

- Prior experience in construction or labour roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and traffic control standards
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills to effectively direct traffic and collaborate with team members
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is advantageous but not essential
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
