Responsibilities

- Coordinate flatbed freight shipments by assigning loads to drivers and carriers based on availability, capacity, and delivery requirements.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and SyteLine to track shipments, update statuses, and optimize routes for efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and real-time updates.
- Enter data accurately into shipping & receiving logs, AS400 systems, and other logistics platforms to maintain precise records.
- Analyze freight data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, or service enhancements within the supply chain.




- Manage shipping schedules by coordinating pickup and delivery times with clients and carriers while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette and professional communication to foster positive relationships with all stakeholders involved in the transportation process.

Skills

- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), AS400, SyteLine or similar ERP platforms used for logistics coordination.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and freight management within a 3PL (third-party logistics) environment.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in typing and record keeping.
- Solid analysis skills to interpret shipping data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, including documentation requirements for flatbed freight.
- Exceptional communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette for multi-line phone systems.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail.
