Join our dynamic team as a Fleet Manager and take charge of overseeing the efficient operation and management of our vehicle fleet. In this energetic role, you will coordinate transportation activities, optimize fleet performance, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities

- a. Oversee all fleet maintenance operations, including roadside repairs and in-shop maintenance.

b. Manage the day-to-day operations of the truck and trailer repair shop. c. Supervise mechanics, technicians, and shop personnel to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and quality of work.

d. Manage the Road Service team in Sri Lanka, ensure all maintenance records and invoices are completed daily, and submit all documentation to the Accounting Department on a daily basis.

e. Assign, prioritize, and monitor all repair and maintenance work orders.

f. Ensure prompt diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues to minimize vehicle downtime.

g. Maintain adequate inventory levels of parts, tools, tires, and maintenance supplies.

h. Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet company quality standards and applicable safety regulations.

i. Coordinate closely with the Dispatch Department to ensure trucks and trailers are available to meet operational requirements.

j. Prioritize repairs according to dispatch requirements and operational needs. All assigned trucks and trailers must be repaired, inspected, and ready for dispatch without unnecessary delays.

k. Resolve all maintenance and shop-related issues promptly to prevent disruptions to fleet operations.

Monitor all out-of-service equipment and provide management and dispatch with accurate updates regarding repair progress and estimated completion times.

m. Implement measures to reduce fleet downtime and improve equipment utilization.

n. Develop, implement, and enforce preventive maintenance schedules for all company equipment.

o. Ensure all vehicles and trailers are safe, compliant, and roadworthy before being released for dispatch.

p. Enforce all workplace health and safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

q. Promote accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and operational efficiency within the maintenance department.

r. Approve the purchase of parts, materials, and repair services within authorized spending limits.

s. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety, quality, or operational readiness.

t. Provide regular reports to management regarding fleet condition, maintenance costs, equipment downtime, shop performance, and repair status.

u. Immediately report all major breakdowns, accidents, safety concerns, or regulatory compliance issues to management.

v. Remain on duty beyond regular working hours, when operationally required, until assigned repairs or maintenance tasks are completed to ensure dispatch operations are not interrupted.

w. Remain available by telephone outside regular working hours, including evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and other non-working hours throughout the year. The Employee must answer all calls from drivers, dispatchers, management, and other employees, or return any missed calls as quickly as reasonably possible to resolve operational issues.

x. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time, as required to support the Company's operations.

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
