Market Team Member

Sabà Hospitality Group – Fort Langley, BC

We’re looking for a Market Team Member who genuinely loves food, enjoys connecting with people, and takes pride in creating a warm, knowledgeable customer experience.

This role combines customer service, food knowledge, retail, light food preparation, and keeping the market organized and well stocked.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
- Learn and confidently speak about cheeses, meats, pantry items, prepared foods, wines, baked goods, and other market products
- Make thoughtful product recommendations and suggest complementary items
- Assist with cheese and deli service, including portioning, wrapping, labeling, and presentation
- Prepare focaccia sandwiches and assist with basic food preparation as required
- Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays
- Monitor product freshness, quality, and presentation
- Receive and organize deliveries and help maintain inventory
- Keep counters, coolers, displays, and storage areas clean and organized
- Operate the TouchBistro POS and handle cash and payments accurately
- Support the kitchen, bakery, café, and management teams as needed

Who You Are

- You genuinely love food and are excited to keep learning
- You have previous kitchen, restaurant, deli, specialty food, retail,



or hospitality experience
- You are comfortable speaking with customers and making recommendations
- You are friendly, confident, organized, and detail-oriented
- You work with urgency and stay productive during slower periods
- You are reliable, accountable, and willing to take initiative
- You are comfortable working weekends and holidays
- FoodSafe certification is an asset

You do not need to know everything when you start, you do need to be curious, engaged, and excited to learn.
