Foreman – Civil Infrastructure & Concrete Restoration

CAPCRETE is hiring an experienced, hands-on Foreman to lead concrete restoration crews on projects throughout Ontario. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Our work includes dams, culverts, tunnels, water-control structures, bridges and other civil infrastructure.

This is a working Foreman position. You will be responsible for the crew, daily production, workmanship, site organization and execution of the work.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, organize and supervise field crews
- Plan daily work and assign crew responsibilities
- Work alongside the crew when required
- Maintain productivity, workmanship and job-site organization
- Coordinate labour, tools, equipment and materials
- Read and follow drawings, specifications and repair details
- Ensure repair materials are properly prepared and installed
- Track completed quantities and document changed conditions
- Communicate daily with the Project Manager
- Identify field problems early and recommend practical solutions
- Maintain required site and safety documentation
- Ensure work meets project requirements and CAPCRETE quality standards

Required Experience

- 5+ years of concrete restoration, concrete repair or related heavy civil construction experience
- Proven experience leading and supervising construction crews
- Solid hands-on knowledge of concrete repair procedures
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
- Strong planning, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain crew productivity without compromising quality or safety
- Valid driver's licence, as travel to project sites is an essential part of the position




- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Ontario

Experience with several of the following is strongly preferred:
- Epoxy and polyurethane crack injection
- Water-stop and leak injection
- Concrete removal and patching
- Reinforcing-steel preparation
- Form-and-pour repairs
- Vertical and overhead repairs
- Structural concrete rehabilitation
- Grouting and waterproofing
- Surface preparation and protective coatings
- Dams, culverts, tunnels and water infrastructure

Required project-specific safety training and certifications will be verified before performing applicable work. Experience with Working at Heights, WHMIS, confined-space work and First Aid is an asset.

Compensation

$42–$48 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated capabilities.

Candidates who can independently lead crews, maintain strong production and perform specialized concrete injection and structural repairs will be considered toward the upper end of the range.

Performance/project completion bonuses and long-term advancement opportunities may also be available.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the job.

The Foreman is expected to know what needs to be done, organize the crew, maintain production, identify problems before they become costly and ensure the work is completed properly.

This is not a position for someone who only supervises from the sidelines. The successful candidate must have the practical experience to lead by example and demonstrate the correct way to perform the work.

Accountability for the crew, workmanship, productivity and execution of the work is essential.

Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour
