Qualicare Home Care of Edmonton East and surrounding areas is currently looking for CARE GIVERS to be part of our team in Fort Saskatchewan . If you are a qualified, caring, compassionate, and committed Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker with the skills and empathy to handle the demands of caring for seniors and persons with disabilities in their homes we want to hear from you! Applicants with full or flexible availability will be our priority.

You will provide quality, patient-centered care to our clients, which include, but not limited to those that have dementia, sustained complex musculoskeletal injuries, spinal cord injuries, wounds, brain injuries, amputations, burns, mental health conditions and at times involve palliative and end-of-life care. The specific tasks are identified based on the patient and family needs and goals, which can vary from client to client.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Assistance with all activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ability to follow Care Plan
- Documentation, Reporting, and Charting




- Ambulation, and accompanying clients on appointments
- Medication reminders, administration, and monitoring
- Mobility assistance, and use of transfer equipment
- Light housekeeping-laundry, dishes, cleaning living area, dusting
- Meal Preparation

Requirements

- Health Care Aide Certificate from an approved program
- or Certified Healthcare Professional from country of origin
- Valid CPR- Level C through Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (Completed in the last 3 months)
- Strong communication skills, written, and verbal in the English language
- Access to a computer and cell phone
- Driver's license in positive standing with access to a reliable vehicle
- Able to drive to surrounding areas of Edmonton which include, Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park, East Edmonton and Millwoods

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekends
- Holidays

Language:

- Strong English understanding, written, and verbal (Required)
