About Amazing Construction Ltd.

Amazing Construction Ltd. operates its own fleet moving freight across domestic Canadian lanes. We are a growing, owner-operated company where good work is noticed and where dispatch has a direct hand in how the business performs. This is a key operational hire, and the person in this seat will both run our day-to-day freight and help shape how our dispatch operation is built.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Freight Dispatcher who can do two things well: book freight and keep our trucks moving profitably from day one, and help build the systems and processes that let our operation scale. This is not an order-taking role and not a training position — we need someone who already knows the load boards, already has broker relationships, and can start booking freight in their first week.

If you know Loadlink and DAT cold, have brokers who take your calls, and want a role where you both run the freight and help build how it’s done, this is a strong fit.

Load Booking & Freight Operations

- Source and book loads on Loadlink, DAT, and other boards, plus direct broker and shipper channels
- Negotiate rates, fuel surcharge, and accessorials with brokers, and confirm freight
- Vet brokers before booking — credit rating, payment history, days-to-pay, and authority
- Assign loads to drivers and plan routes to minimize deadhead and maximize revenue per mile
- Pre-plan the next load so trucks are not sitting after delivery
- Track shipments in transit, provide proactive updates, and handle exceptions — breakdowns, weather, road closures, missed appointments, detention
- Manage rate confirmations, BOLs, and PODs through to billing

Building Systems & Processes

- Set up and organize dispatch systems, load-board accounts, and document workflows
- Build repeatable onboarding processes for customers and carriers, including credit checks and insurance-certificate collection

- Establish rate cards, quoting templates, and standard operating procedures
- Document how the operation runs so it is consistent and not dependent on any one person

Relationships & Growth

- Bring and grow broker and shipper relationships to secure steady, repeat freight
- Reduce reliance on the spot market over time by building direct, contracted business

Compliance & Coordination

- Keep drivers within hours-of-service rules and appointment windows
- Support ELD compliance and flag any equipment or driver concerns
- Communicate dispatch instructions clearly: pickup and delivery numbers, appointment times, addresses, and special requirements

Required Qualifications

- 2+ years of freight dispatch experience with a trucking carrier or freight brokerage
- Demonstrated experience booking freight directly on Loadlink and comparable load boards
- Existing broker and shipper relationships — you can start booking freight immediately
- Proven rate negotiation skills and comfort holding a price under pressure
- Working knowledge of Canadian hours-of-service rules, ELD requirements, and standard carrier documentation (rate con, BOL, POD)
- Strong geographic knowledge of Canadian lanes, major corridors, and seasonal and weather considerations
- Excellent verbal and written English communication; professional phone manner with brokers and drivers
- Ability to work independently, make booking decisions, and organize systems without day-to-day supervision
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheets,

and dispatch or transportation software

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience setting up or improving dispatch systems, TMS platforms, or operating procedures
- Experience with transportation management software (Rose Rocket, Axon, Tailwind, TruckMate or similar), factoring submissions, or invoicing workflows
- Additional languages an asset for communicating with our driver group and Quebec-lane customers (Punjabi, Hindi, French)
- Familiarity with reefer, flatdeck securement, or specialized freight requirements

What We Offer

- $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, with 4% vacation pay included in payroll
- Full-time, stable hours — Monday to Friday, on-site in Terra Cotta
- Genuine autonomy — you make the booking calls and help build how we operate
- Direct working relationship with ownership and real influence over how the operation runs
- Room to grow with a company building out its freight operation

How to Apply When you apply, include a short note describing the size of fleet you have dispatched, the lanes you know best, and the broker relationships you can bring.
