Become part of the Northern District in Truro, Nova Scotia, as a full time Maintenance Person. This role involves hands-on repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks across various systems in residential properties.
You will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and utilize your skills gained from at least five years in property maintenance. Responsibilities include servicing heating, plumbing, and electrical systems while adhering to safety regulations. Your ability to operate mechanical tools and coordinate with contractors will be crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out repairs on building structures and fixtures
• Install and maintain finished carpentry and drywall




• Monitor and repair fire alarm and power systems
• Complete work orders and maintenance logs
• Participate in emergency after-hours maintenance
Requirements:
• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent
• Five years’ experience in building maintenance
• Access to a reliable vehicle essential
• Valid certifications in First Aid and WHMIS needed
• Knowledge of building codes preferred
