Role Summary:

We are looking for a strong Lead/Solution Architect with experience in Microservices, Spring Boot, eCommerce and Retail. The key expectation is the ability to understand complex requirements, think through all possible scenarios, dependencies, edge cases and potential gaps, and provide a practical, scalable and efficient end-to-end solution.

Key Responsibilities:

Own solution design for complex retail and eCommerce capabilities.

Understand requirements across multiple domains and identify impacted systems, teams and dependencies.

Proactively identify edge cases, failure scenarios, integration gaps, scalability concerns and downstream impacts.

Evaluate multiple solution options and recommend the most effective approach considering performance, resiliency, maintainability, delivery effort and long-term scalability.

Coordinate proactively with Product, Frontend, Backend, OMS, Inventory, Payments, SRE, Data and other dependent teams.

Drive architecture discussions, clarify requirements and resolve cross-team dependencies.

Design end-to-end flows across Frontend ? APIs/BFF ? Microservices ? Events ? Data Stores ? Enterprise Systems.

Ensure proposed solutions do not introduce functional gaps or unintended impact to existing customer journeys.

Support application modernization and migration initiatives, including legacy-to-microservices, platform modernization, technology migration and phased system replacement.

Define migration approaches that consider data migration,



backward compatibility, coexistence, cutover strategy, rollback, dependency management and minimal business disruption.

Clearly communicate architecture decisions, risks, trade-offs and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Guide engineering teams during implementation and ensure delivery remains aligned with the architecture.

Required Skills:

Strong architecture experience with Java, Spring Boot and Microservices.

Strong eCommerce and Retail domain knowledge.

Positive understanding of modern frontend architecture such as React/Next.js, Micro Frontends and BFF patterns.

Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architecture, Kafka, databases, caching and distributed systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to independently drive discussions across multiple teams and domains.

Preferred:

Experience in large-scale migration and modernization programs is highly desirable.

Experience migrating legacy/monolithic applications to microservices or cloud-native architectures.

Experience handling phased migrations where old and new platforms need to coexist.

Hands-on Java/Spring Boot development experience is a good to have.

Experience with high-volume enterprise retail platforms.

Experience with OMS, Inventory, Checkout, Payments, Fulfillment or Customer Service domains.
