About the Role
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to take ownership of features end to end across our platform; from the React front end through our Node and Python services and the AWS infrastructure underneath. This is not a junior role: you'll work independently on meaningful pieces of the product, make sound technical decisions, and contribute to the health of a real production codebase serving enterprise customers.
You don't need to be a senior engineer or team lead, but you should be comfortable owning a feature without close supervision, reading unfamiliar code, and reasoning about trade-offs across the stack.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain features across our React/TypeScript front end and our backend services (NestJS and Python/FastAPI).
- Design and evolve data models and APIs that power capacity planning, financial forecasting, and simulation.
- Work with our AWS infrastructure including Cognito, Lambda, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager, and contribute to Terraform-managed infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate on our simulation and reporting microservices, which use pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and Numba to crunch workforce data.
- Integration with third-party systems.
- Write tests, participate in code review, and keep code quality high (we use SonarCloud and Datadog).
- Help shape technical direction on a growing product in a monorepo (Nx / Lerna / Yarn workspaces).
Our Stack
- Frontend: React 18, TypeScript, Material UI (MUI), Redux
- Backend: NestJS (TypeORM), Python 3.11+ with FastAPI; MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis
- Data & simulation: pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Numba
- Infrastructure: AWS Eco System, Terraform serverless functions
- Tooling: Nx / Lerna monorepo, Yarn, Datadog, SonarCloud, Git
What We're Looking For
- Solid skilled experience building and shipping full stack web applications (3+ years or equivalent demonstrated capability).
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills and hands-on experience with React.
- Backend experience with Node.js (NestJS or similar) and/or Python (FastAPI or similar).
- Comfort designing relational data models and working with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Working knowledge of AWS and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform experience is a strong plus).
- Ability to work independently, own features end to end, and communicate clearly in a small team.
- A pragmatic approach to testing, code quality, and maintainability.
Nice to Have
- Experience with monorepo tooling (Nx, Lerna) and Yarn workspaces.
- Data-heavy or numerical/simulation work (pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
- Experience in workforce management, contact center, or capacity/forecasting domains.
- Familiarity with Datadog, SonarCloud, or similar observability and code-quality tooling.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs.
- Experience working with and implementing AI features (e.g. LLM APIs, AI-driven functionality) is a strong benefit.
-
Compensation and benefits Compensation for this role will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
This role is remote within Canada, with occasional travel for industry events and team gatherings.
Why join us
- Real ownership: your work ships to enterprise customers fast, and you'll help shape both the product and how we build it.
- Broad scope: touch the whole stack: frontend, backend services, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Small team, high impact: no bureaucracy, direct collaboration with the people making product decisions.
-
