Provide critical support as a Crisis Support Worker at our Shelter. This role is integral to maintaining a safe environment while assisting residents and non-residents seeking help.
As a Crisis Support Worker, you will oversee the well-being of residents and ensure compliance with Shelter regulations. You’ll be instrumental in delivering effective communication and care, empowering clients, and fostering a supportive atmosphere. A background in human services, alongside key interpersonal skills, is essential to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support to residents of the Shelter
• Enforce Shelter rules and monitor cleanliness
• Communicate effectively with non-residents seeking services
• Empower clients through clear education and resource access
• Maintain personal care and act as a positive role model
Requirements:
• Minimum one-year certificate in human services or three years’ related experience
• Certification in First Aid & CPR and Secure Food Handling
• Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License and clean record
• Experience with nutrition, cultural diversity, and life skills
• Must be available for 12-hour shifts, 24/7
