Position Summary
Our employer partner is seeking a Full-Time Cook to join their fast-paced restaurant in Scarborough. The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a fast-food environment and is familiar with Mexican-style cuisine. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality menu items, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare ingredients, portion food, and assemble orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and equipment.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory control and restocking supplies as needed.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining food quality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely preparation and service of customer orders.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Previous experience working in a fast-food restaurant is required.
- Experience preparing or working with Mexican-style cuisine is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset or willingness to obtain one.
