Full Time Post Acute Hospitalist – The Willett
Brant Community Healthcare System
Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) is a 300+ bed acute care facility that provides team‑based, patient‑focused care. The system includes Brantford General Hospital and Willet Hospital.
The Department of Stroke, Rehabilitation, Complex and Palliative Care at BCHS is looking for family physicians to support post‑acute hospitalist work at Willet Hospital in Paris. Post‑Acute Hospitalist responsibilities include providing MRP care for post‑acute patients admitted to Willet. These patients are longer‑term, lower‑acuity cases currently being cared for in a hospital setting.
BCHS offers comprehensive specialist support with 24/7 access to internal medicine, ICU,
and surgical services. Remuneration includes a daily stipend in addition to fee‑for‑service billings.
Qualifications: independent practice licence from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, certification with the College of Family Physicians or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, and hospitalist experience considered an asset. Additional training in Stroke Care is encouraged. Excellent interpersonal and cooperative skills, strong teamwork, commitment to medical education, and dedication to service excellence are required.
