Position Summary:

We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant with experience using Kroll pharmacy software and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll play a key role in supporting our pharmacy team, engaging with patients, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Position Responsibilities:

- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy legislation and pharmacy policies.
- Welcome patients and confirm the accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to processing.
- Complete accurate data entry of patient information into Kroll pharmacy software.
- Accurately prepare, fill, and label prescriptions using both manual counting and robotic dispensing technology.
- Respond to general over-the-counter (OTC) inquiries within your scope of practice and refer patients to the pharmacist when appropriate.
- Assist customers by locating products, placing special orders, and directing medication-related questions to the pharmacist.
- Receive, verify, and store incoming inventory while reporting shortages and stock requirements to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain accurate prescription records and medication inventory.
- Operate the pharmacy cash register and process transactions as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following health and safety policies, cleaning dispensing equipment, and using proper lifting techniques.
- Support pharmacists and the pharmacy team with additional duties as required.

Key Competencies:





- Experience using Kroll pharmacy software (required).
- Previous experience in a community pharmacy (preferred).
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Assistant Program or equivalent Pharmacy Assistant experience.
- Minimum two years of pharmacy experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, organized, and dependable.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize workload and adapt quickly to changing pharmacy demands while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Strong mathematical skills, including ratios and fractions.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with pharmacy products, technology, and best practices.
- Must be willing and able to work at all Roulston's Pharmacy retail locations, including Simcoe, Port Dover, and Delhi, based on operational needs and scheduling requirements.

Work Schedule

- Day shifts ending at 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.
- Evening shifts ending at 8:00 p.m.
- Rotation of one in three weekends.
- Holiday shifts as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
