GAS TECHNICIAN (G1) –

About Us

Associated Combustion Inc. is an Industrial full service combustion and maintenance service company servicing a wide range of industries (i.e. automotive, ferrous and non-ferrous primary metal making, food processing, etc.). We are currently looking to hire a full-time experienced Industrial Gas Technician with the following qualifications:

Job Requirements

· The qualified candidate must be an Ontario Licensed Gas Technician (G1).

· Experience working with direct and indirect gas fired systems along with a strong understanding of CSA B149.1, Natural gas and propane installation code and CSA B149.3, Code for the field approval of fuel-related components on appliances and equipment an asset.

· A strong understanding of the design, functional processes and sequential operation of air and gas combustion valve train components and corresponding control circuitry required.

· 2 years or more experience in an INDUSTRIAL Environment, with exposure to furnaces, ovens, kilns, etc.

· Able to read blueprints and drawings interpret electrical schematics and process flow drawings involving PLC systems

· Maintain, repair and report on combustion equipment

· Be involved in the “after hours on-call” service calendar





· Respond to service calls, repair, replace or adjust components where needed.

· Valid driver’s licence

· Must be a team player and available to work some weekends.

· Must be able to work alone, with minimal supervision or in a team/group workplace

Work Environment

· The job is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas. Depending on the area you work in, the environmental conditions may be hot, cold, dirty, dusty, wet or noisy

· Safety is of paramount importance. Safety procedures and guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes wearing personal protective equipment, such as a hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, respirators, flame retardant clothing and safety shoes at all times during a work shift.

· Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
